About Me

I graduated from Highmore High School in 1995 ( now you know how old I am).  I went to USD for four 1/2 years and received Bachelors degrees in k-12 Special Education and 6-12 English Education. I then worked for Southeastern Behavioral Healthcare in Sioux Falls for 3 years, went to Heartspring in Wichita KS for 6 months, and then back to Southeastern Behavioral HealthCare for two more years. (I missed South Dakota too much!). I came to Highmore in December of 2006. I started substitute teaching and the next year they hired me full time.

I enjoy teaching. It is a learning process. I believe that every child can succeed, it is only a matter of finding their way and teaching them how. I believe that as a teacher I am responsible to give my students what they need to succeed. I believe that teaching is a two-way street. The teacher must meet the student and the student must meet the teacher, together learning takes place.
